Moms Panel Monday: Mobile Ordering – A Game Changer for Quick Service Dining at Disney Parks

If you ask the Disney Parks Moms Panelists how they feel about mobile food and beverage ordering at select guest service locations at Walt Disney World Resort, chances are they will quickly reply, “it’s a game changer,” and panelist Missy could not agree more!

“Mobile ordering is great for anyone, but for families with kiddos, it’s a HUGE help. Gone are the days of having hungry kids wait in line and change their mind a million times about what they want. Now we can place our order on our own time and with just a simple click of the “I’m here” button, our food is ready in just moments,” she explains. “Mobile ordering makes dining at some locations at the Walt Disney World Resort easy peasy!”

The mobile order service is offered via the My Disney Experience app at more than 20 quick-service locations throughout the four theme parks and Disney Springs area. With a few taps of the screen, guests can easily browse menus in advance and order ahead from wherever they happen to be. Upon their arrival at the restaurant location, they tap, “I’m here,” in the app and head to a designated pick-up window – enabling them to skip the line to order and pay.

The app will also soon debut a new, enhanced look featuring an easier navigation and improved design, with fun, colorful icons and even more photos of the menu items.

“With picky eaters, we would spend a lot of time browsing restaurants if we had to visit each location to see what was on the menu at that time” says Tabitha. “It is much easier to negotiate with a toddler when you are sitting down with your phone and taking a quick rest instead!”

Kathy K. explains that mobile ordering is also a great benefit for Florida residents!

“As Florida residents and Annual Passholders, we often find ourselves deciding to head to the parks without a dining reservation. Mobile ordering to the rescue! We can order and pay from our My Disney Experience app in the park, pick up our delicious meal, and get back to the fun. It’s a real timesaver!”

And did you know you can also order select allergy-friendly options from the app?

Allergy-friendly options are generally organized into allergy-friendly categories,” explains Crystal, whose son has food allergies.

She adds that you will also have the option to speak to a Chef or Cast Member to assist you with your order once you arrive at the restaurant.

Be sure to check out mobile ordering during your next visit to Disneyland Resort as well! The service launched last year in the Disneyland app and is available at more than 20 locations throughout Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park.
